A Pivotal REstoration

The residents of Racquet Club Cottages West take pride in the historic significance of the property. After several years of planning, the pool and cabana area have been restored to its original design. Only recently completed in October 2022, visitors will be able to experience the vision of William Cody. The core feature of the project is the restoration of the stairs that connect the cabana to the pool. In addition, because we want to create something very special for our guests and more human than a simple home tour, we coordinated featured activities which connect to the original Racquet Club, the creators of the cottages, and the visitors to the club over the years.

The Bloody Mary

With our historic connection to the original Palm Springs Racquet Club, where legend has it the Bloody Mary was invented, our guests will have the opportunity to sip the club’s version of this fine beverage, take home a copy of the original recipe, and learn about the drink’s history. Whether invented in Paris, New York, or Palm Springs; it will brighten your day.

Marilyn Monroe

Hollywood stars were members of the Racquet Club and homeowners at the Racquet Club Cottages West. Said to have been discovered at the Racquet Club, Marilyn Monroe was recreated for our 2020 event by Miss dd Star, founder and director of the Palm Springs School of Burlesque. And by popular demand, she will be back in 2023, right at home at the Racquet Club.

Vintage Cars

We will also be featuring an array of vintage cars from the 1960s, the golden age of automobile design. From sports cars to timeless luxury icons, the 1960s was a time of impressive innovations from the racetrack to the road. You will see some of the most exotic cars the automobile industry ever created; cars that even those who aren’t enthusiasts will easily recognize.
